PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic probe having high workability and high reliability by fixing one face of plural fine piezo-electric chips on one face of a printed substrate and leading out electrodes formed on the other faces of the chips to the other face side of the printed substrate through electrode holes. CONSTITUTION:Plural fine piezo-electric chips 1 each of which forms electrodes on both main faces are two dimensionally arranged in the (x) and (y)directions. Plural piezo-electric chips 1 are fixed on one face (metallic foil) of the printed substrate 5 with conductive adhesives. Electrode lands 6 corresponding to respective chips 1 are formed on one face of the substrate in the (x) and (y) directions. Each land 6 forms an electrode hole 7 penetrated through the plate face on its center and the electrode on one face of each chip 1 is led out from one side of the substrate 5 to the other side through the hole 7. On the other hand, a conductive line 8 is extended from the hole 7 on the other face side and connected to an external terminal hole 9 formed on the peripheral part. Since connectors or the like may be connected to the terminal holes 9 without individually connecting lead wires to respective chips 1, the workability can be improved and irregularity among the chips 1 can be suppressed. |
