PURPOSE:To easily produce an extension program structure diagram by synthesizing and editing a program block diagram and a program structure diagram. CONSTITUTION:A program constitution specification defining device 1 delivers a program constitution defined in a diagram to a specification holding device 6 as the program constitution specifications. Meanwhile a program structure specification defining device 2 delivers a program module constitution defined in a diagram to the device 6 as the program structure specifications. Then a data specification defining device 3 delivers the data specifications held by an external medium handled by a program to the device 6. A synthesizing device 4 receives both the program constitution specifications and the program structure specifications and synthesizes both specifications to deliver them to an editing device 5. The device 5 shows the synthesized specifications in a diagram and produces an extension program structure diagram. Thus, it is possible to easily produce the extension program structure diagram including the input/output relation between a module and the external medium.
