PURPOSE:To improve airtightness by inserting the metal-covered tip part of an optical fiber core wire into a metallic cylinder and sealing it with resin and a brazing material. CONSTITUTION:The overcoating part 14 and undercoating part 13 of the tip part of an optical fiber 11 are removed to expose a fiber core wire 12, and a metallic film 15 is dhered, by sputtering, etc., where a tip 17 on the exposed surface is removed, thus forming a metallized part 16. The coating-removed part is applied with adhesive resin 19, such as epoxy resin, and inserted into the through hole 4 of a metallic cylinder, shaped as shown in the figure the resin 19 sets. Then, the tip part 3 is heated and a brazing material 20, such as gold-tin alloy, is flowed into a cut part 7 to adhere the surface metallic film 15 of the fiver core wire 12 to metal 1 hermetically. |
