<p>PURPOSE:To enhance reliability of sealing by employing a plane sealing between an upper metal and a conductor sleeve, where the upper metal has upper and lower sealing faces, and employing a triple sealing structure between the conductor sleeve and a conductor joint metal. CONSTITUTION:A conductor sleeve 3 secured with the end of a cable conductor 102 is inserted into a through-hole phiA of an upper metal 2 and screwed to a stop ring 5 so that it is held in the central part of the through-hole phiA. Flange section 3a of the conductor sleeve 3 is engaged with the lower face of the upper metal 2 and an O-ring gasket B8 is placed at the interface thus sealing the penetrating section of the conductor sleeve 3 airtightly. A conductor joint metal 4 is then applied on the end of the projecting conductor sleeve 3 through a spring type contactor 13 for making electrical contact with the conductor sleeve 3, and then the conductor joint metal 4 is secured mechanically to the upper metal 2 through a tightening bolt 12 so that a double sealing structure is provided between the conductor joint metal 4 and the upper metal 2 by means of O-ring gaskets C9 and D10.</p> |
