PURPOSE:To achieve reliable function of a current limiter comprising a current limiting coil connected in parallel with a superconductor by mounting a control coil on the core of the current limit coil and resetting the superconductor to superconducting state. CONSTITUTION:When a control current is fed from a controller 6 to a control coil 3, a reactance corresponding to the variation of flux in the core 4 appears in a current limit coil 1 and a voltage is induced. Operating point of flux variation in the core 4 is shifted to the saturable region of the core 4 by feeding the control current to the control coil 3 thus reducing the flux variation hence the voltage induced in the current limit coil 1. In other words, voltage to be applied on a superconductor 2 is lowered forcibly. By such arrangement, the superconductor can be reset to superconducting state through reliable and stable operation. |
