PURPOSE:To improve shock absorbing effect to a human body to a large degree by forming an air bag of filament fabric provided with a coating resin film at least on one face thereof, and using silicon rubber containing silica for this resin. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device is formed in such a way that an air bag is expanded instantaneously by high pressure gas at the time of automobile collision so as to constrain the movement of a rider to secure safety. The air bag is formed of filament fabric provided with a coating resin film at least on one face thereof. In this case, silicon rubber containing silica is used for the above-mentioned resin. The silicon rubber contains at least 15wt.% of silica, and methyl vinyl silicon resin is used for silicon rubber. The coating quantity of the resin film is further set in a range of 30-100g/m<2>. Shock absorbing effect to a human body can be thereby improved in large degree. |
