PURPOSE:To simplify a control program, to reduce the capacity of a ROM and to improve the maintenance property of the ROM capacity by reading out the control program of a general-purpose input/output bus control means via a multi-staged boot. CONSTITUTION:In the start processing state of a CPU 1, a boot program is taken out of a magnetic disk device 9 and loaded into the memory 6 of a general-purpose input/output bus control means 100. Then the boot program is executed in the means 100, and a control program which is originally used by the means 100 is loaded into the memory 6 from the device 9. The control is shifted to the loaded control program. Therefore the control program which is registered into a ROM 2 is just required to have a limited function to load the boot program into the memory 6 of the means 100 via the device 9. Thus it is possible to simplify the control program registered into the ROM 2, to reduce the capacity of the ROM 2, and to improve the maintenance property of the ROM capacity.
