PURPOSE:To simplify the control the updating information by adding automatically a comment which includes the information on the data when a source program stored in a source file is changed into a line to be changed when the source file is updated. CONSTITUTION:When one line of a source program 3 is received, a comment including the information on the date of reception is produced by a comment adding means 4. Then this means 4 adds a comment to the contents of the line and returns the line to a source file 2. Then an updating means 1 changes the contents of the line of the program 3 to be changed in the file 2 and then updates each line based on the contents added with a comment. Thus it is possible to simplify the control of the information showing a specific line of the program 3 that was updated as well as this updating date.
