PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately collect the file information by providing an input part, source program analyzing part, job control sentence analyzing part, auxiliary storage control information analyzing part, editing part, and output part. CONSTITUTION:The input functions 2, 7 and 12 are provided to read a source program 1, a job control sentence 6, and the magnetic disk control information 11 respectively together with the analysis functions 3, 8 and 13 which extract the information necessary for securing the file areas out of those functions 2, 7 and 12, an editing function 16 which edits the collected file information, and an output function 17 which outputs the edited file information. In such a constitution, the file information can be automatically collected and outputted. Thus it is possible to quickly and accurately collect the file information.
