摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To nearly completely repair a picture element defect and to maintain a high display grade so that higher fineness is attained by forming two pieces of auxiliary capacities on a display electrode so that the shorting of the auxiliary capacity part can be repaired. CONSTITUTION:The display electrode 26 is formed with two pieces of the auxiliary capacities 26c via a juncture 26b of a body 26a and an extending part 26d to the body 26a side is formed at the inside end of the capacity part 26c on one side. An auxiliary capacity line 27 is formed nearly parallel with the scanning line 11 across two pieces of the capacities 26c. Further, a conductor 31 is insulated from the electrode 26 by a gate insulating film 22 and is provided to overlap respectively partly on the body part 26a and the extending part 26d. The capacity part 26c is cut away and the overlapped part of the conductor 31 and the electrode 26 is blanked by a laser when the shorting arises at the point (x) in a part of the capacity part 26c. The other capacity part 26c is connected to repair the defect of the picture element. The picture element defect is, therefore, completely perfectly repaired and the high display grade is obtd. The higher fineness is thus obtd.</p>
