Numerous types of converters are known for producing AC energy from a DC supply such as a battery but they tend to have excessive internal energy consumption, particularly with small DC supplies such as batteries or photocells. The present invention overcomes this problem by providing a system which sequentially switches link prints between different DC supply sources. Different waveforms can be produced depending on the voltages at the various link points. |
