PURPOSE:To easily discriminate erroneous write by writing preliminarily determined pattern data in the other storage area of a memory at the time of data write and extracting the last address of pattern data coinciding with preliminarily determined pattern data at the time of data read and reading out peculiar data stored in this extracted address. CONSTITUTION:The address is successively changed at the time of data write to write preliminarily determined pattern data in the other storage area of the memory. At the time of data read, written pattern data is read out from the memory by successive address change, and it is discriminated whether read pattern data coincides with preliminarily determined pattern data or not. The last address in the address change direction for write out of addresses where pattern data coinciding with preliminarily determined pattern data is stored is extracted, and peculiar data preliminarily stored in this extracted address is read out. Thus, it is confirmed whether the memory is normally written or not by the presence or the absence of pattern data at the time of read. |
