<p>PURPOSE:To compensate a movement with a minimum of (2/3)picture element/ frame by using a memory of 3 fields, compensating a picture element of an odd number field with a picture element of an even number field in addition to a conventional movement compensation and compensating a picture element of an even number field with a picture element of an odd number field. CONSTITUTION:A block processing device 2 blocks an input signal 1 in a frame and block processing devices 6a, 6b apply in-frame block processing to memory output signals 5a, 5b and signals 5b, 5c. Block processing devices 6a, 6b output plural block processing memory signals 7a, 7b and a movement compensation device 8 compares a block processing input signal 3 with the block processing memory signals 7a, 7b to select data with similar distribution in the block. Then a difference between the signal of the reference block and each component of the block processing input signal 3 is outputted as a moving compensation signal 9. Thus, the moving compensation accuracy is improved.</p> |
