<p>PURPOSE:To improve the construction efficiency by inserting expanded ends of a tube into mouth metal fittings provided at the opposite ends of a ditch excavated in earth, filling back the ditch, feeding air mortar into the tube to expand and harden it, and thereafter advancing a pipe. CONSTITUTION:Earth 1 is excavated to form a ditch 2 and cylindrical mouth metal fittings 4, 5 are placed therein to insert expanded ends 7 of a tube 6 into said fittings. The ditch 2 is filled back with earth and sand 8 and asphalt concrete 9 is applied to the surface of the filled earth, to which rolling compaction is applied, and the ditch is filled back for traffic use, excluding section 10 for use in piping work. And then a fluid feed device 11 and the tube 6 are interconnected by a valve 12 and a conduit 13 to feed air mortar. After the expansion and hardening of the mortar, a pipe 3 is advanced into the tube 6 and the foregoing and succeeding pipes 3 and 3a are joined together and the sections 10 are filled back. As a result, piping work can be performed easily and rapidly, minimizing thereby a blockade of traffic.</p> |
