<p>PURPOSE:To improve the heating efficiency by a method wherein a hot gas to be supplied to a combustion chamber is passed through a combustion catalyst before passing through the first porous solid material and a catalyst combustion is carried out. CONSTITUTION:Fuel gas 20 and air 21 required for combustion are fed from a fuel nozzle 12 into a combustion separating chamber 9 in a combustion chamber 3 and heated there, the fuel gas 20 and the air 21 are well mixed to each other in a combustion separation chamber 9 and pass through a combustion catalyst 7. A catalyst reaction may occur during a period in which the mixed gas passes through the combustion catalyst 7, the mixed gas is ignited and the combustion gas 23 passes through the first porous solid 5 and during this period, heat from the combustion gas 23 is transferred to the porous solid 5. This heat is thermally radiated to the combustion catalyst 7, the thermal radiation is carried out from the combustion catalyst 7 toward a partition wall 2 so as to heat the partition wall 2. After this operation, exhaust gas 22 passed through the porous solid material 5 and cooled there is discharged from a combustion separation chamber 11 out of a closed container 1 through an exhaust gas pipe 13. With such an arrangement, a heating efficiency is improved and a nitric oxide in the combustion exhaust gas is reduced.</p> |
