<p>PURPOSE:To provide a decorative effect caused by light reflection on a biaxially oriented blow-molded bottle made of saturated polyester resin by a method wherein a semi-polyhedron wall consists of wall segments, and each wall segments has a flat internal surface and a concave external surface like a concave lens. CONSTITUTION:A base 3 of a biaxially oriented blow-molded bottle 1 made of saturated polyester resin is connected to the lower part of a body 2, and its central part is recessed inward via a shoulder part 10 with the circumferential part left as a base wall 9, so that a recessed part 8 is formed by a semi- polyhedron wall 4. The semi-polyhedron wall 4 is a regular octahedron frustum with a flat top, however, the circumferential wall is divided into upper and lower sections by a broken line so that the circumferential wall includes sixteen regular frustum wall segments 5 in total. Each wall segment 5 has a flat internal surface 6 and a concave external surface 7 like a concave lens, and ridgelines between the wall segments 5 are made into as sharp broken lines as possible.</p> |
