NEW MATERIAL:A calcitonin derivative from which lysine residue at the 18-position is removed and a calcitonin derivative from which lysine residue at the 18-position is removed and into which lysine derivative is inserted at any position of the 12-17 positions or 19-32 positions. USE:A remedy for osteoporosis, Behcet's disease and hyperkalemia. PREPARATION:For example, p-methylbenzhydrylamine resin is used as an insoluble resin, t-Boc amino acid (6-Boc is t-butyloxycarbonyl) containing protected alpha-amino group and side chain functional group is successively bonded from C-end side to the insoluble resin according to amino acid sequence of calcitonin derivative by solid-phase synthesis method to synthesize protected peptide resin, which is treated with trifluoroacetic acid, etc., elimination and deprotection from the peptide resin are carried out and the resulting substance is purified by column chromatography to give a calcitonin derivative. |
