PURPOSE:To avoid the deformation of the body part of a container after filling the contents having a high temperature in the container and sealing and cooling the same by a method wherein the peripheral edge of the top plate of a lid is pressed against the outer peripheral edge of a circular seal, an inner rib is inserted into the ring-like recess of the circular seal and the lid is provided with a space between its top plate and the circular seal and vents in communication with the outside of the lid. CONSTITUTION:The outer peripheral edge 21 of a circular seal 20 is closely attached to the upper end of the tubular mouth part 2 of a container 1 and this circular seal 20 forms a ring-like recess 22 extending downwardly along the inner periphery of the tubular mouth part 2. A lid 6 is fitted over the tubular mouth part 2 of the container 1 and the peripheral part of the top plate 7 of the lid 6 is pressed against the outer peripheral edge 21 of the circular seal 20 and an inner rib 8 provided on the lid extending vertically downwardly from the top plate 7 thereof is inserted into the ring-like recess 22 of the circular seal 20. Moreover, the lid 6 is provided with a space between its top plate 7 and the circular seal 20 and vents 9 in communication with the outside of the lid 6. |
