PURPOSE:To stabilize the performance of a battery and improve its reliability by forming a tab made of a continuous metal pure section on the surface of at least one side of a metal porous body made of a metal foam body. CONSTITUTION:A mesh body 21 is laminated on the whole face of the surface side on one side of a foam body 20, and a metal foil sheet 22 which is a tab forming sheet is laminated on the whole face of the surface side on the other side to form a substrate 23 made of a integrally fixed lengthy body with the preset width W. Plating is applied to the substrate 23 at the preset thickness, and a tabbed metal porous body 25 is formed through solvent desorption and sintering. The metal porous body 25 is made of a laminated metal porous body constituted of a metal mesh body 21', a metal foam body 20', and a metal porous body 22', and it has a tab 22'a made of a continuous metal pure section in the length direction at a fixed interval in the width direction on the surface side of one side. The tab 22'a made of a continuous metal pure section is integrally formed when a sheet of the porous body is plated, thus the tabbed metal porous body 25 can simply be manufactured. |
