PURPOSE:To provide a voltage nonlinear resistor element durable against a large surge even though a title composition is of a laminate type by allowing 3% or more BiF3 in a Bi compound to be contained in the composition. CONSTITUTION:3% or more BiF3 in a Bi compound is contained in a title composition. Namely, high purity ZnO, CoO, MnO, Sb2O3, and Bi2O3 are prepared as a stock material. A green sheet 14 on which an internal electrode material 12 is printed is laminated and contact bonded together with a green sheet 15 on which no internal electrode material 12 is printed. The laminate is calcined to provide a sintered structure 18 on which an internal electrode 16 is formed. Hereby, the composition is durable to large surge although being of a laminate type. |
