The present invention provides a sea marker for emergency flights of ship planes on to ships, comprising a float, as well as a tube containing a pyrotechnical charge and also a percussion igniter, wherein the tube consists of a material which does not burn away, the tube being provided with a light charge consisting of 30 to 60% by weight of sodium nitrate, 3 to 18% by weight of polyolefin resin and 30 to 60% by weight of magnesium.
