SCREW CAP WITH A GUARANTEE STRIP WHICH IS EXPANDABLE WHEN BEING SCREWED ON FOR THE FIRST TIME

The guarantee strip (3) of the screw cap (1) possesses a nominal breakage point (11) at which the guarantee strip is able to be separated though its entire width. A preferably window shaped relief opening (12) is arranged near to the nominal breakage point which improves the expandability of the guarantee strip when the cap is being screwed on for the first time. The nominal breakage point comprises at least two material ribs, of which a lower is arranged at the lower edge of the screw cap. When screwing off for the first time, a flow of forces is achieved in the guarantee strip, during which the relief openings are no longer effective. (Figure 2)
