Device for rapidly interconnecting single-pair telephone lines (1, 2 and 3, 4). It includes two half-sockets (6, 7) which trap two insulation-displacement tubular split plugs (20, 21). A side cavity (17) of the lower half-socket (6) receives a nut (18) which interacts with an axial screw (13) in order to forcibly move the half-sockets closer to each other and consequently to interconnect the lines. <IMAGE>
