PURPOSE:To reduce the load on a user and to shorten the processing time by carrying out the payment dealings of plural documents, etc., as single-time dealings. CONSTITUTION:This automatic teller machine is equipped with a transaction medium processing unit 86 which receives a recording medium where information on the amount of money is recorded and reads the information out of the recording medium, a telling unit 87 which displays the total of the read information, a card unit 85 which pays money by the displayed total amount, and money receipt and payment units 82 and 83. Then the information on the amount of money is read out of plural payment documents and totalized, and dealings of the total amount of money are completed at a time. The received payment documents are stored temporarily in a storage means and after the dealings, specific processing is performed to issue a receipt. Consequently, the load on the user at the time of payment is reduced and the processing time is shortened. |
