The invention relates to a die assembly for forging metal caps for insulators, comprising an internal die 1, an external die 2, a first coupling-cavity forming die 3 and a second coupling-cavity forming die 4 composed of three disconnectable die elements comprising an orifice-forming die 5, a recess-forming die 6 connected to the orifice-forming die from which it is axially detachable, and a traction-separating die 7 connected in an extractable manner to the recess-forming die, and also coupling means 3c, 5c provided on the first coupling-cavity forming die 5 and on the orifice-forming die 5 and capable of engaging with each other with a view to moving the orifice-forming die away from a metal cap blank 14 during a displacement of the first coupling-cavity forming die with respect to the metal cap blank. <IMAGE> |
