<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature rise of a thermal line from being heated up to the interruption of a printing operation and to reduce the interruption of the printing operation by judging the state of a printing rate based on temper ature information of the head, and controlling energy to be supplied to the head in response to the state of the rate. CONSTITUTION:When the printing rate of a thermal lien head 1 is high, energy to be applied to the head 1 is increase. When a continuous printing is performed at a high printing rate, a temperature rising speed is increased. Here, its utility is limited to a waveform recording, solid black print in which its entirety becomes black is low valuable as the recording, and even if a recording density is reduced, substantial recording value is not reduced. Accordingly, if the rising speed becomes larger than a certain set value, it is judged that the rate is raised to open a switch 6-1, and to close a switch 6-2. A printing voltage to be supplied to the head 1 is reduced to 18V, thereby printing in a low density. Thus, a temperature rise can be suppressed.</p> |
