PURPOSE: To obtain an additive which can be stored for a long time and gives good meat by mixing an emulsifier and carrying material to a fat, drying the obtd. emulsified liquid to produce a fat powder, coating the powder with a coating agent for intestine, and drying. CONSTITUTION: One or more kinds of fats selected from soybean oil and fish oil (the fatty acid compsn. contains >=2% linolenic acid, >=2% eicosapentaenoic acid and >=2% docosahexaenoic acid) is heated to 20 to 50C, to which an emulsifier such as monoglyceride dissolved in water and a starch dissolved in a fish juice as a carrying material are mixed to obtain an emulsified liquid. Then for example, air at 120 to 180 deg.C is injected into the emulsion liquid to spray dry the liquid to obtain a powder having 0.1 to 1.0mm average particle size and >=5% fat content. The powder is coated with a coating material for intestine such as ethylcellulose to obtain the objective additive having 0.5 to 2.0mm particle size. |
