PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of a liquid drop delivery nozzle and the bleeding of an image on recording paper and to contrive an easy handleability by a method wherein an image forming material is prepared by dispersing particles in a dispersing medium, and the surface of the particle is coated with a resin having a wettability by the dispersing medium. CONSTITUTION:A particle 3 serving as the dispersoid of an image forming material consists of a core 1 and a coating 2. The core 1 is a particle obtained by coating a simple coloring agent or a coloring agent, e.g. an inorganic pigment, such as titanium white, iron black, and carbon black, an organic pigment, such as phthalocyanine, and a dye, with a resin, or a particle obtained by dispersing or dissolving a coloring agent in a resin. As the coating 2 which is a resin having a wettability by the dispersing medium, a normally-known polymer material can be used. The coating 2 is directly bonded or adsorbed with the core 1 by a chemical, physical, electrical, or mechanical means, or indirectly bonded or adsorbed with the core 1 through a coupling agent. In this manner, an image without bleeding can be formed even on plain paper, the clog of an orifice is prevented, and this material is easily handled because of its gelation properties at room temperature. |
