The subject of the invention is a device for reestablishing the uniform spacing between the strings. The device is of the type using a squared plate (4) with volumes in relief (5) which is pressed against the stringing so that each of the volumes in relief (5) penetrates, at the time of the pressure, into each of the spaces (6) formed by the strings (1) characterised in that the said volumes in relief (5) which form squares on the plate (4) are mounted on a face (7) of the said plate (4) by means of pins (8) which traverse the said plate (4) and which render them integral with the said plate (4) while still permitting play about their longitudinal axis. The invention applies particularly to the strings of the head of a tennis racket. <IMAGE>
