<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a signal including a reference signal for waveform equalization by recording a signal subjected to waveform equalization by the reference signal onto a recording medium, reproducing the signal, adding an ideal reference signal for waveform equalization and outputting the result. CONSTITUTION:A MUSE (time axis multiplex) signal inputted to an input terminal 10 is fed to a waveform equalization circuit 18 via an A/D converter 12. The circuit 18 applies waveform equalization by taking the frequency characteristic of a transmission line and the group delay characteristic into account. Then a VIT (signal including information of transmission line equalization) elimination circuit 20 eliminates a VIT signal from an output of the circuit 18. A signal eliminated with the VIT signal by the circuit 20 is recorded on a magnetic tape 28 via an error correction code addition circuit 22 or the like. The signal recorded on the tape 28 is reproduced and fed to a VIT addition circuit 36 via the error correction code addition circuit 34. The circuit 36 adds an ideal VIT signal without distortion of the transmission line and outputs a signal of a normal format of the MUSF signal. The output of the circuit 36 is outputted from a terminal 40 via a D/A converter 38.</p> |
