A vertical stanchion (5) is attached to the chassis (B) of a goods vehicle by a bracket (2) which is welded or bolted to the chassis. The stanchion fits between the lugs (4,5) of the bracket and is clamped by an eccentric bolt (9). The eccentric middle portion (9a) of the bolt is pressed against the stanchion which is in turn pressed against the chassis (B) of the vehicle. The bolt is brought to its clamping position by rotating it through 90 deg. by means of a detachable lever. USE/ADVANTAGE - Attachment of a vertical stanchion to a goods vehicle by a simple clamp which is easily released. |
