73901-1 An assembly for installing a heat form fireplace unit in an appropriate opening in a building wall, comprising a prefabricated hearth designed as a base with an upper surface to support the heat form and two prefabricated, vertically extending shafts designed to fit snugly between the sides of the opening in the building wall and the heat form and hearth, each shaft being divided by partition means into an upper and lower compartment, said lower compartment having means for air transfer between the building and a space between an inner and outer side wall of the heat form through a lower opening in the outer side wall of the heat form, and said upper compartment having means for air transfer between the space between inner and outer side walls of the heat form through an upper opening in the fireplace unit and the building; and a method for installing said heat form fireplace unit and assembly.
