<p>PURPOSE: To prevent lowering of an adhesion degree due to deformation by providing a plurality of conductive wire coils inclined along the center line, applying pre-load to the coils so that adjacent coil spacing is decreased, and limiting the passage of electromagnetic energy with a wavelength greater than a selected value. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic shield gasket 30 having elasticity in the axial direction has plural coils 32 which are connected to each other so that the rear ends 34 are along the inside diameter 36 of the gasket 30 and the front ends 38 are along the outside diameter. A back angle 42 determines the arrangement of the rear end 44 of each coil with respect to a line 44 vertical to the center line 46, and determines a front angle 49 presenting the front end 38 of each coil. The back angle 42 determines the operating elastic range, and the gasket shows fixed force to the deformation. Thus, a small change, eccentricities and deformation caused by temperature and environmental conditions between the engagement parts do not exert any influence on loading and sealing force so that the gasket can be used as an electromagnetic shield gasket.</p> |
