PURPOSE:To reduce grounding sounds by forming a circumferential groove containing the equator of the tire, and forming ranges of blocks on both sides of the groove symmetrically in a direction of the tire. CONSTITUTION:A central groove 14 as a circumferential groove is formed on a tread surface 12. Approximately symmetrical blocks 18, 20 are formed in the width direction of a tire on both sides of the central groove 14. The blocks 18, 20 are formed in an approximately base-shape in its plan form, and blocks 22, 24, 20, 28 having roughly same configuration and dimension are formed in a position shifted to respective opposite sides in the width direction of the tire by one third of the width L of the central groove 14 on both sides of the blocks 18, 20 in the circumferential direction of the tire, and thereby a block group 30 is formed. In this case, distances N between the blocks 18, 20 and the blocks 22, 24, and the blocks 18, 20 and the blocks 26, 28 are to be over about 6 mm. Ranges 52, 54 of the block are formed by the blocks 18, 22, 26 and 20, 24, 28. According to this constitution, grounding sounds can be reduced without any loss to the performance of the motor cycle on a good road and a rough ground. |
