The invention relates to a toy vehicle with an air cushion (1), equipped with a chassis (1b) with a propulsion fan (3a), a lift fan (4a), a power supply source (5a) and a body (1a), covering over these elements. The problem to be solved consists, particularly, in preventing the fan motors being powered in error when the body has been removed. The vehicle is characterised in that it includes a power-cutting mechanism (5a) which cuts a power supply circuit to the motors (3b, 4b) of the fans (3a, 4a) when the body (1a) has been removed and which reestablishes this circuit when the body has been put back in position. The invention is applicable, particularly, to toy hovercraft. <IMAGE>
