PURPOSE:To display a jam of a body and a sorter by use of one indicator, by constituting so that the jam detected in the body and the sorter is switched to a different display and is displayed on a display part. CONSTITUTION:A copy sheet number indicator 68 is set by a ten key 53, and the number of sheets required displayed by 7 segments. As for a sheet jam in the body, whether after paper feed, the paper has been transferred and separated within a prescribed time or not is detected by a sensor 16, whether after paper feed, the paper has reached that place or not is detected by a sensor 18, and in case when the jam has occurred, the number of jam sheets is displayed as P1 or P2... on the copy sheet number indicator 68. After all the paper has been discharged from the inside of the machine, in case when a jam has occurred in a sorter 46, PO is displayed on the indicator 68, and after the jam processing has ended, the jam is corrected as to the number of copy sheets, and it is displayed on the indicator 68. |
