PURPOSE:To accurately detect counter-light even in the case that an object is extremely small by providing a 1st counter-light decision means for deciding the counter-light state of the object positioned in a central area and a 2nd counter-light decision means for deciding the counter-light state of the selected main object. CONSTITUTION:Based on the detected results by a central part photometry means 101 and a peripheral part photometry means 102 for respectively detecting the brightness of the object positioned in the central area of a photographic image plane and that of the object positioned on the peripheral part of the central area, the counter-light state of the object positioned in the central area is decided by the 1st counter-light decision means 103. On the other hand, the focal points of plural objects are detected from a pair of object images which is formed on an image sensor 105 and the counter- light state of the main object is decided by the 2nd counter-light decision means 108 based on an output from the image sensor corresponding to the main object selected based on the detected result and the object other than the main object. In the case that at least either of the 1st and the 2nd means 103 and 108 decides that it is the counter-light state, a light emission signal is outputted from a control means 104 and daylight synchrophotographing is performed. |
