<p>PURPOSE:To detect acceleration in two directions by one sensor at the same time by reading variation in the resistance value of a pattern resistance element according to the movement point of a ferromagnetic body sphere where the two-dimensional acceleration operates. CONSTITUTION:When the two-dimensional acceleration operates on the ferromagntic body sphere 1 from outside, the ferromagnetic body sphere 1 is displaced to move into spot contact with a couple of upper and lower substrates 6a and 6b. Consequently, the resistance value of the pattern resistance element 3 connected to individual extremely fine electrodes 2a is varied. The two-dimensional acceleration operating on the ferromagnetic body sphere 1 is detected from the variation in the resistance value. In this case, the ferromagnetic body sphere 1 is attracted magnetically at right angles to the moving direction by a couple of permanent magnets 5. Therefore, when the ferromagnetic body sphere 1 moves, smooth action is secured and stable detection performance is obtained.</p> |
