PURPOSE:To prevent the useless power consumption of a dry cell by outputing a starting signal from a synchronous signal from a camera side and providing a boosting control means outputing a stopping signal when a voltage detecting means detects that an outputted voltage reaches a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When the synchronous signal from the camera side is inputted into the boosting control means 60, the boosting control means 60 starts up a boosting means 20 to boost the voltage of the cell 10, and the main capacitor of a stroboscope connected with the external power source is charged. When the terminal voltage of the main capacitor reaches a prescribed one, a voltage detecting circuit 40 is activated to send a signal to stop boosting to the boosting control means 60, so that, the boosting control means 60 stops the boosting action of the boosting means 20. Thus, the main capacitor of the stroboscope is quickly recharged in synchronization with the flashing of the stroboscope to make preparations for the next flashing. Thus, the cell 10 is prevented from being uselessly consumed. |
