PURPOSE:To allow the online grinding corresponding to roll abrasion and to prolong the interval for a roll change by discretely grinding the contact part of a rolling roll and a material to be rolled and the non-contact parts on both sides by means of discrete grinding bodies disposed in correspondences to both parts. CONSTITUTION:The contact part of the rolling roll 2 and the material 1 to be rolled and the non-contact parts on both sides thereof are discriminated and discretely ground by the discrete grinding bodies 11a to 11c provided in correspondence to both parts. The contact part where the abrasion quantity is large is ground small and the non-contact parts where the abrasion quantity is small are ground large in this way. The roll grinding corresponding to the abrasion of the roll 2 is thus possible, Particularly the control of the grinding sections is made easier than in the case of control with only the pressurizing force by controlling not only the pressurizing force of the discrete grinding bodies 11a to 11c but also the traverse range. The grinding of the high efficiency corresponding to the roll abrasion is thus possible. |
