PROCESS FOR EXTRACTING GOLD FROM LOW CONCENTRATES

The process comprises dissolving in flotation cells, to shorten the treatment time by ten hours. The precious metals are adsorbed direct from the pulp on granulated active carbon, in four stages. The carbon is circulated in countercurrent with the concentrate liquor, and the enriched carbon is then treated to permit extraction of the gold. The reactivated carbon is finally recirculated, and the lean pyrite goes to a sulphur separator.
