PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for shifting preparation and to improve the productivity by energizing the driving means connected to each forming finger based on the controlling instruction, moving each forming finger and forming the required die shape. CONSTITUTION:The forming finger 28 is advanced and retreated by driving and controlling the servo motor 42 connected to each forming finger 28 of the upper die and the lower die based on the data. And the finger 28 is fixed so as not to move by operating the brake. Therefore, the required camber shape of die can be obtained respectively on the opposed surfaces of the upper die and the lower die. Next, the straight leaf spring 10 heated to the prescribed temperature is set between the upper die and the lower die. And the upper die is brought to descend by energizing the hydraulic cylinder 32 to the direction of its extension, and the leaf spring 10 is pressed and clamped. In such a way, the leaf spring 10 is formed with the camber of the same shape. |
