An electro hydraulic drive system allowing accurate finger-tip adjustment of planting spacing to be made on the move by adjusting tractor mounted controller 5 relative to the speed of the ground wheel measured by sensor 6 and the speed of the hydraulic motor 1 driving the planter unit measured by sensor 7. This results in greater accuracy in spacing and number of plants per acre (or hectare) be achieved without necessity to adjust mechanical drives.
