PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacture cost of a magnetic head by butting the 1st core piece and 2nd core piece with a gap spacer between and by fusion-welding the butted surfaces of the 1st core holding member and 2nd core holding member together. CONSTITUTION:The butt surface 36 of a terminal holding member 24 equipped with a terminal 22 and the 1st core piece 10 wound with a coil 14, and the butt surface 36 of a terminal holding member equipped with another terminal 22 and the 2nd core piece 12 wound with a coil are placed opposite to each other, and after a couple of gap spacers 42 are arranged between the 1st core piece 10 and 2nd core piece 12, both the butt surfaces 36 are butted mutually. Then, recess parts 40 formed in the top surfaces 38 of the butt surfaces 36 of the holding members 16 and 28 are fusion-welded by laser welding. |
