<p>PURPOSE:To effectively utilize steelmaking dust with simple equipment by blending an organic binder and a vegetable fiber into steelmaking dust, kneading it and executing compacting. CONSTITUTION:Steelmaking dust is blended with an organic binder and a vegetable fiber and, according to necessary, is mixed with water and carbonaceous powder, and the mixture is kneaded and compacted. Furthermore, as the organic binder, polyvinyl alcohol, etc., are used, and its amt. to be added is regulated to about 0.1 to 10%; as the vegetable fiber, pulp, rice bran, wood chips, etc., are used, and its amt. to be added is regulated to about 0.1 to 30%; and as the carbonaceous powder, coke fine breeze, etc., are used. In this way, the steelmaking dust can be formed into a compacted product which can easily be handled and simply be powdered and is effectively reusable as the source of iron.</p> |
