PURPOSE:To prevent a binary image from deteriorating in picture quality when reduced and displayed by extracting >=2 complementary kinds of thinned-out pattern and switching and outputting them at intervals of a display frame when bit information on an original image stored in a storage device is reduced and displayed while thinned out. CONSTITUTION:Image data stored in a bit map memory 100 is read out by a control circuit 200 in synchronism with a synchronizing signal S and written in a line buffer memory 300, line by line. At this time, the circuit 200 thins out and stores the data horizontally in the memory 300, also thins out the data vertically by making an interlaced scan on lines, and further switching the thinned-out patterns in FIFOs 1 and 2 of the memory 300, frame by frame. The data stored in the memory 300 are read out of the FIFOs 2 and 1 by a read circuit 400 in synchronism with the synchronizing signal to display the reduced image on a display 500. |
