Warp let-off motion for a weaving loom is powered by a motor geared to the beam. Also drive is superimposed, powered by a second motor. Pref. drive to the beam shaft from the motor is by a worm gear system, to provide a slow and controlled let-off. Superimposed is another drive system from a controlled motor at the end of the shaft. In the middle of this shaft is a worm gear to a differential gear box mounted on the drive shaft from the worm gear. ADVANTAGE - Esp. at time of beam exchange during continuous weaving of paper machine cloths, when reverse and advance is required, and to regulate speed when the beam is full. |
