PACKAGING OF POLISHED RICE AND PACKED POLISHED RICE

PURPOSE:To enable immediate cooking of rice without immersing rice in water before cooking by integrally sealing polished rice and water interposing a barrier therebetween and breaking the barrier to fill the polished rice and the water in the same space. CONSTITUTION:Polished rice 3 having a water content of 15wt.% is sealed in an outer packaging bag 2 together with a packaging material 4 filled with an ozonized or sterilized water 5. The amount of the water is >=15wt.% based on the polished rice. The package 4 is broken before cooking to fill the polished rice 3 and the water 5 in the same space and the rice 3 soaked with water is cooked.
