PURPOSE:To reduce the internal resistance of a cell and shrink the diameter of the cell by concurrently using an oxygen electrode and a support tube, and closely sticking a conducting plate to a fuel electrode in the cylindrical solid electrolyte type fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolyte 2 is provided on the outside of an oxygen electrode 6 concurrently used with a support tube, and a fuel electrode 4 is provided on its outside. The fuel electrode 4 is connected to a conducting plate 7 via a conducting elastic body 8. Cells are connected in the axial direction of cells via inter-connectors 9 and cell connecting materials 10. Multiple cells connected in the axial direction are connected to each other via the common conducting plate 7. Since the oxygen electrode 6 is concurrently used with the support tube, it can be formed into a thick film structure, fuel cells 4 are connected to one conducting plate 7, thus the electric resistance can be reduced. The diameter of the oxygen electrode 6 concurrently used with the support tube can be reduced, and the volume efficiency of the cell is improved. |
