PURPOSE:To singularly adsorb self-antibodies and/or immune complex bodies at high activity and maintain stable activity and easily carry out operation of sterilization while providing safety by combining to an insoluble carrier a specific origomer in a specific amount, which origomer contains a specific hydrophobic amino acid or its derivative and/or another hydrophobic amino acid or its derivative. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbing material for medical care of purifying body fluids is composed of an origomer containing a hydrophobic amino acid or its derivative whose solubulity in physiological salt water is less than 100mmol/dl at 25 deg.C and having a molecular weight of less than 1000 and being combined to an insoluble carrier by 0.1 to 30mg per 1ml of the insoluble carrier. A compound whose solubility in physiologi cal salt water is above 100mmol/dl becomes too high in its hydrophilic property and its affinity for self-antibodies and/or immune complex bodies is lowered. When the amount of the hydrophobic amino acid or its derivative being held is below 0.1mg/ml the amount of self-antibodies and/or immune complex bodies is extremely lowered, while the amount of the hydrophobic amino acid or its derivative in excess of 30mg/ml is not preferable because then the adsorption specificity of the adsorbing material is lowered. |
